Just curious if anyone can confirm that InDesign will successfully load a Postscript outline font if located in the file relative 'Document fonts' directory or if loaded in the InDesign*.app/Fonts directory.
I am used to seeing PS fonts work only when screen fonts are correctly paired with the printer font and did not realize InDesign has this ability. It is essentially making it's own screen version of the printer font on the fly.
I've run into this scenario now a number of times when client files are supplied for output.
If we try to use a font utility, the fonts won't load correctly, but if we put the PS outline in the InDesign/Fonts folder the app sees it and does not report it as missing.
