I should have specified that hidden characters should be shown (Cmd+Option+I/Ctrl+Alt+I). When you view the text in the story editor are there any hidden characters where they shouldn't be?
Just to confirm, are there other passages in this document where paragraphs that use this bullet character appear correctly?
