Re: I am no longer able to move/delete any shapes using the drawing tools.
Some screen shots might help... Is the shape filled?

Can you post a screen shot of the toolbox, please? And what is your Operating System?
View ArticleRe: Internal calculation of the font tracking (text running width)
Krokah never said what versions of ID were involved. I wonder if the problems were arising from using different versions, where the Type Engine is not the same.

View ArticleRe: Saving INDB in CS6 always asks to confirm overwrite
If you try to open files from previous version in a new one it open with the word (converted) next to the file name, and when you click the save indesign open the save as dailog box.
View ArticleRe: Saving INDB in CS6 always asks to confirm overwrite
I'm talking about book files (.indb), not docs (.indd). Thanks, though.
View ArticleRe: Saving INDB in CS6 always asks to confirm overwrite
The same would apply to book files that were created in earlier versions of InDesign. It shouldn't be happening for new books though :? I'd make sure that InDesign is completely up-to-date using...

Neither of the shapes have fill. Wait! I thought that neither of these had fill, but the one I can manipulate has fill and when I added fill to the "after' shape I could manipulate it as I normally...

No problem. On that unfilled shape you can grab the center spot to move it, or grab anywhere on the edge except a control handle.

You will not see a (converted) title in an INDB. The file doesn't open and display in the way that INDD files do; they appear in a panel. As noted in the original post, it doesn't matter if the INDB...

It's highly unlikely that any patch is going to make a difference here -- evidently the bug is fixed since you don't have a problem with newly created files, or it isn't a bug at all and it's somthing...
View ArticleRe: InDesign CS6 freezes with attempts to change printer settings
As of today it's happening with Acrobat Pro as well. 24 hours ago - InDesign locked up when attempting to print anything from a particular InDesign document. So I created a PDF, was able to print from...
View ArticleRe: Saving INDB in CS6 always asks to confirm overwrite
To me, "fixed" would imply that when InDesign makes this obvious attempt (forcing the 'Save As' result when I try to 'Save') to convert and update the INDB, it actually succeeds in converting and...

There will be no more development for CS6. Adobe has announced that there will be some bug fixes in future, but I wouldn't hold my breath on this one (though it won't hurt to report it at Adobe -...

Can't do a screen shot of the toolbar. Just tried to figure out how to dothat and lost the entire toolbar and can't get it back. Operating system is Firefox.
View ArticleRe: Can't do anything on InDesign page
Firefox is a web browser, not an OS. Your operating system is either Windows (some version from XP to 8) or Mac OS X (agian with some particular version).
