I might be, might not. Best practice is to NOT use .dfont, and use OpenType if possible. If you can't use OpenType, second best is Windows TrueType.

Again, you are looking at a preview which is a compressed jpeg, not the original image pixels. What you see can vary quite a bit depending on the image size and saved resolution.
