Okay, I think it IS an obstruction of a sort. The screen won't scroll up high enough for me to see either the black Select tool nor the top ruler nor the "join" of the top left of the rulers. *smacking forehead*
Gracious. But "full screen" view won't fix it, I can't scroll to it, and I already have it set to show rulers. Only the one on the left side shows. The one at top is just a gray bar.
